Nice thing is it also doesn't use a database (it actually creates these metadata files for each photo that it uses to quickly identify what's in a folder). It recognizes the jpegs I took on other cameras, but it can't see the RAW files. Sony PlayMemories is pretty good as a combo viewer, but only reads formats used in Sony cameras, and I have used too many cameras for that to work. Some light photo and video editing features would be nice, but that's not mandatory.

I also want something anyone in the family can use to view photos or watch videos quickly and easily. I'm looking for something that will allow me to import and screen for immediate deletion.

However, as I do more video, it has become less convenient to use. I have used Faststone image viewer for a long time because it's so light and fast and doesn't require any database.
